Hodiernidade I E na Anfibologia do Agora (Mãe)

A circle of bricks drawn on the ground, in an outdoor space with daylight. The performer appears and starts the event by walking and looking at the space and installation. Gradually the performer destroys, with a hammer, each of the bricks, in sequence and continuity. In between, or when necessary, the performer closes his eyes. In attention is what arises in thought (not visible) and the sound produced by destruction (audible). On the last brick appears a bell, the sound of destruction is replaced by the sound of the bell.

Flávio Rodrigues

Flávio Rodrigues (Vila Nova de Gaia, 1984), has been developing his own artistic creation projects since 2006. Drawing, performance art, creation/manipulation of objects, sound, movement and sculpture are some of the mediums he resorts to, aiming to induce the body/work in error/camouflage/abstract and poetic states, as well as exploring plasticities of a raw nature, organic and/or raw, mostly from collection/harvesting processes. The walk has emerged on a meritorious procedural basis. He has been an associated artist at Balleteatro since 2021. (www.flaviorodrigues.info)
